  Out of Many, One People Grade 7 Term 1, Unit 2 Unit Title: Valuing Heritage- Yours and Mine Normally, when we think of Jamaica's rich, flavourful and vibrant culture, the first term that comes to mind is 'melting pot'. Have you ever thought about this? Why do think Jamaica's cultural heritage is referred to as a melting pot? Let's find out! Think about cooking a pot of curry chicken. For this dish, we would need our seasonings- onion, escallion and thyme- the chicken, of course, and potatoes and, whatever else we decide to put in it. Now think about when that meal is cooked and the scent and taste of it. Yummy, right? Well, that is Jamaica's culture!
